The Space-Time Split

Something suddenly flared on The Chief's geiger counter, and his visor polarized to cope with a great flash of light that appeared where the pedestal sat, It was dark and swirling, then it solidified into, a mirror like object, that seemed to reflect into another world, but it looked somehow different.

"Do you think that this could be what is causing this? these temporal anomalies that seem to be, tearing through space and time itself?"

"Possibly. Seems this portal has been sealed though. Lets rest for a bit before we head on toward the direction the Knuts were" Link slumped onto a space disorted bench, and rested.

John sat down also, and rested for a while.

The next day arrived, and the temple was still in an unorderly fashion. Link got his potions and his gear ready, and headed for the door. "Ready when you are Master Chief!!"

"If you're ready, then we can investigate"
John said as he went out the door, seeing the ever silent forest.

They followed a long trail to where the Knuts came from, they continued from there untilo they came across a river, at this river was a portal.

"Link, get back" Master Chief said as he squinted and magnified his visor's vision to 5x, there were 5 Unngoy, two Kig'Yar, and one Sangheilli, all aliens from the covenant
(5 grunts, 2 jackals, 1 elite)

"Any ideas for this Link?"

Link drew out his bow and switched to his light arrows. "We fight or we run. If we fight we might be able to go into this portal. We can see where that leads to"

Link stepped back and aimed his arrows. "Give me the signal"

John took a bead on one of the jackals with his Magnum [10/20] "On my mark, 3..2..Mark"
He fired and took down the jackal.

Link shot his arrow, however he missed the strange creatures. He jumped back and took out his boomerang "I'll try and stun these guys. If it doesnt work, cover me while I take out another weapon" He threw his boomerang, hopefully stunning the aliens.

The boomerang hit all 5 of the grunts, the jackal took out it's carbine and aimed at Link.
John stepped in front of Link as the jackal fired it's weapon, his shields dropped a bit, he then pulled out his MA5B (60/300) and fired towards the jackal, however, while they were distracted by the other aliens, the elite appeared behind them, and brought out his energy sword, he swung at Link.

Link activated his reaction command, and did a somersault over the elite and slashed him down the back. Link quickly pulled out his skull hammer and smashed down on the elite for a final blow. However, the elite dodged to the side. Link and the elite commenced a sword battle.

John saw the busy elite, and began tearing down the many grunts with his assault rifle, one of them let loose a plasma grenade, although it stuck to another's methane tank, so they all proceeded to explode. The jackal picked up an overcharged plasma pistol and let it off onto The Chief's shields, he had no ammo left, so he ran up to it and rammed the bunt of his gun into the jackal's skull.

Link jumped back. As the elite swung his sword down, he did another reaction command and jumped over the elite and sliced his back once again. The sword fight continued.

The Chief stayed back to let his shields recharge and reloaded his assault rifle [60/240]

"Lets finish this! I call this move the Link combo!" He took his hookshot and grabbed the elites head. He then upward slashed te elite and used a spin attack. as the elite was dazed, he took out his skull hammer. "You won't be dodging this" he said, and rammed down the hammer. The elite was smashed up.

"Lets go in the portal, quick!"

John took the elite's energy sword, and then caught Link by the belt and hurled him at the portal at 48 Kmh, he then ran as fast as he could towards it himself, and jumped...

"Where.. where are we?" The Chief said as he looked up at the strange dimension.

The world was very swirly. Everywhere you looked you saw purple swirls of disorientation. What was interesting was that there were no doors. The portal behind Link and Master Chief closed up. Link found himself lost. "I don't think we should split up here, we won't be able to tell where we started off. Lets explore."

John's Geiger counter went through the roof, all of his tech was malfunctioning, so he shut off his motion tracker, targeting reticule, and the rest of his HUD.
They headed towards the nearest purple swirl, then it vanished, John then felt a force push him backwards from Link, and then he left the disorienting world, and then he floated out of consciousness.

Link didn't know what to do. Master Chief was out and he felt the time space bend was overflowing. I must find an exit he thought. He looked around. In the distance a whie light opened, and objects were going toward that portal. There!. He rushed to the white light, dragging master chief along with him. To his horror, the "objects" were a bunch of giant spiders. "What's that????" he shouted, and took out his sword as the spiders started going after him. "You'd better wake up Master Chief!"

The Master Chief remained unconscious.


The spiders surrounded link, they seemed to be red and purple, all chanting 'Ariados' or something like it, they shot webs and poisonous needles at Link.

Link took out his mirror shield, and unexpectedly the light from the portal reflected from his shield to the spider's eyes. They were blinded, and Link took tis advantages by shooting fire arrows at all of them. Burning them. He quickly dragged Master Chief out of the portal and found himself in another world. He was on a pillar of some sort on a high mountain. Link sighed as the portal closed. "We have to figure out who's behind all this"

John's tech began to power up again, all clear.

"So, where are we?"
The Chief said as he looked into the foreign night sky, he looked back down and saw a few furry cute looking mammals. One of them shot lightning at him so he jumped backwards and drew his gun.

"Hold it" Link said, pushing Master Chief away. "He doesn't seem to be corrupted. Our main priority is to find clues and find another portal to a new world. We'd best find another portal, I don't think this world could give us answers. Lets go down the mountain"

He set down, and took out his whip.

The Chief began climbing his way down the mountain with Link, it was a long and treachourous climb, but they made it in one piece.

"What do you say we should do now then?"

"Im not sure" Link said. "Lets head for a city and ask directions. How about that one?" He checked the sign and it said "Celestic Town". "Looks like it's nighttime here. We'd better ask someone in the day. If you want to can go check to see if anyones awake." He slumped down, and dozed off.

"Fine, we'll wait."
John sat down and set up a small fire...
